Every enquiry must seek the truth.   Therefore, we decided to hang the CSM website on the objections raised by our opponents to Special Creation.  Logical conclusions can only be drawn from the facts, so we will only rely on scientific facts and rational thinking when discussing these quotes.  Click any quote to drill down.

  • We shall lead with the late Richard Lewontin, Marxist and Atheist.

Many others are coming to similar conclusions.  The standard theory of evolution that all of us were taught as children states all of today’s lifeforms can be traced back to a common ancestor, and the various traits that evolved lie at the branching points in different species.

Unfortunately, the above is not true.  Many features within the animal kingdom occur in animals so widely separated from each other on the evolutionary tree that they do not have a common origin.

Statistically, the probability of something evolving is infinitesimally small.  When something happens twice, we multiple the odds.  The probability of a significant evolutionary change happening in the first place is to all intents and purposes zero; and for it to happen twice we’d multiple ‘impossible’ x  impossible’.  If it happened three times, we’d multiple once again. The evolutionist Kevin Kelly had this to say

“Hundreds, or thousands of cases of isolated significant convergent evolution suggest something else at work. Some other force [besides evolution?] pushes the self-organization of evolution towards recurring solutions. A different dynamic besides the lottery of natural selection steers the course of evolution so that it can reach a remote unlikely destination more than once. It is not a supernatural force, but a fundamental dynamic as simple in its core as evolution itself.”

Kevin is telling us that the classical theory of evolution clearly doesn’t work, and while he dismisses the possibility of a cause beyond human understanding which relies on the supernatural, he concedes that the only current alternative is no good.  He is thus forced to exercise blind faith believing that some as yet undiscovered alternative to God will be thought up.
